SCRA Compliance Is Not Optional—It’s Critical to Your Business Success.

The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) law is intended to provide for, strengthen, and expedite the national defense through protection extended to servicemembers of the United States to enable such person to “devote their entire energy to the defense needs of the Nation.”

Servicemembers under SCRA are defined as members of the armed forces (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard) on active duty, commissioned members of NOAA and the Public Health Service while in active service.

SCRA violations often top the list of complaints reported by consumers to the CFPB and OCC. Having an automated, reliable, SCRA Compliance Scrub solution not only eliminates additional costs and regulatory burdens associated with the failure to follow SCRA guidelines, it’s critical to your business success.

Operate Smarter with Surefire

When it comes to manually processing military searches on the Department of Defense (DOD) website, free isn’t always what it seems. While submitting files to the DOD takes only a few minutes per file, the website’s processing limitations mean you are burning a lot of time manually uploading, downloading and monitoring your files. When you multiply that by the hundreds, thousands or tens of thousands of files you process, the time savings from scrubbing files “in a batch” are significant.

Smart, fast and efficient? You can have it all.

With our hosted application, you get a zero IT footprint solution: there’s nothing for you to develop and nothing to maintain. Other features that will make your IT team want to treat you to lunch include:

  • Faster file processing times.

  • Agility to scrub your entire portfolio or only accounts in a specific status.

  • No limitations on file size or placement frequency.

  • DMDC Site Status Notifications.

  • Internal daily validation tests to ensure the accuracy of the results.

  • Individual pdf certificates for each file processed.

SCRA Website (DMDC) Current Status:

019-03-27 – SCRA 4.11 Updated Release Date

The SCRA website will be upgraded to version 4.11 on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

As a result of this upgrade Name fields (First, Middle, and Last) will no longer accept numeric characters. Users can only enter Alphabetic characters (A-Z and a-z), spaces ( ), dashes (-), and apostrophes (‘) in the Name fields. This change was implemented as an additional security measure.
